27.10.2006Bliss Island (psp) - Game Spot - NewsCodemasters signs Bliss Island for PC and PSP: Codemasters is set to turn Bliss Island from a free-play Web game into PC and PlayStation Portable titles. The PC version will be a try-before-you-buy downloadable game that will be available later in May. The game will be released later in the year on the PSP. The game is the brainchild of independent developer PomPom, who has previously released Mutant Storm on the PC and the Xbox 360. A sample of Bliss Island is currently available to try online at www.funsta.com/bliss, where three sample stages of the action puzzler are available to play for free. The game sees players taking on the role of Hoshi the Zwooph, who can expel puffs of air at high velocity from his trunk. Using this feature, you can bounce or control objects to complete challenges. The game is being handled by Codemasters' "casual gaming" department, and we'll have more on the game as it is announced. |
27.10.2006Race Driver 3 - Digital Entertainment News - arvio: 9,1/10Taking into account that Gran Turismo isn’t released on the PC, TOCA is probably the best racer I’ve ever played on the PC. Every single aspect is top-notch, and it all adds together to make an immensely enjoyable experience. The ‘tutorial’ is integrated into the game via your Scottish crew, and it just feels like the whole game is seamless. The variety and quality featured in the game is fantastic too. All in all, just like an expensive coffee, TOCA is an amazing blend of various components to form a top-quality product. |

World Tour and Pro Career game modes will take a long time to get through, and the online play will keep you playing for many months to come. It's hard to think of anything else the guys at Codemasters could have crammed into the game, and the way they've managed to retain such a high level of quality throughout the whole experience really is extraordinary. |

27.10.2006Race Driver 3 (pc DVD) - Game Chronicles - arvio: 9,0/10TOCA Race Driver 3 is about the best complete game I have played for PC games. I rarely come across a game that meshes so many different parts to make a complete game so very well made and fun to play. The game starts you off racing and then explains how the whole thing works with your very own Scottish crew chief. You can race in Classics, GT, Oval, Touring car, Off Road and Open Wheel racing with a bunch of other special types like Honda and toy cars. I have read about other racing simulation games that concentrate on one type of racing with a huge variety of cars or have several types of racing but not the selection of cars. The Honda lawnmowers, RC cars and slot cars make for even more added fun along with all the racing types, varied tracks and customizable options for the cars. It’s all this wide variety of racing elements and making sure it all works well in a total package that makes TOCA Race Driver 3 an awesome game. |

27.10.2006Race Driver 3 - Gaming Excellence - arvio: 8,7/10ToCA 3 is an excellent racer, and a must for any fan of any form of racing. It replaces and raises the bar in all categories, mixing a huge amount of quantity in styles, cars, and tracks, with a truckload of quality. Simulation fans will get their fix, but arcade fans (like me) can still enjoy this impressive assortment of styles and challenges associated with them. ToCA 3 always has that fun arcade way out by including Go-Carts and Monster Trucks, and the damage can actually be taken right off. In the end, ToCA 3 has reached podium position, and looks as if it will be there for while. |

It's like returning to a good game from a while back, to be sure, and there's nothing wrong with that for a lot of folks. Play it if you're especially fond of the fantasy genre or if you're among the geekiest of geeks who is a fan of the Mage Knight franchise. |

26.10.2006Paraworld (pc) - Ace Gamez - arvio: 8/10There is nothing fundamentally new with Paraworld, but there is also nothing significantly wrong. In fact, the scenario change makes a welcome break from the hackneyed themes we have suffered of late and is truly refreshing to play. Yes, I have to review games as part of the job, but I continued playing this after I had finished writing this review, as its endearing qualities continued to exert a strong draw upon my gaming senses. Buy this game - not only because it is a joy to play but because the developers had the balls to try something new. The result is a stimulating and invigorating rejuvenation to all us hardened RTS players who are tired of the same old trawl. Play Paraworld and feel good about yourself. Plus, dinosaurs rock! |

In the 19th century this world was discovered by a brilliant mathematician, leader of a group of top scientists. For decades it had remained undiscovered, and only now three young scientists (Anthony, Stina and Bela) are beginning to uncover the secret. Using perfidious tricks, the opposition manages to lure the three into a trap and they are lost in the other world. From that point it's a fight for survival and the search for a way back to Earth... ParaWorld is a good, solid addition to the RTS genre. If you like dinosaurs, steam-punk and a good solid RTS, you can't go far wrong with delving into this game. |
