If you’re looking for an all-round actioner with a badass hero, an interesting story and solid gameplay, then Riddick is your game. There are definitely better shooters for the PC – Far Cry, Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 all spring to mind, but those really are the cream of the crop and Riddick is up there with them, snapping at their heels. |

Besides some minor annoyances, Exodus culminates into a solid real-time strategy title where the term 'real-time' is not a compromise for strategy. |

All sims involve some sort of resource collection, but what is more fun, chopping down forests and looking for iron mines or scouting the unspoiled wilderness for dinosaur bones? On the other hand, there are lots of hunting games on the market, but what is more exciting, pushing through the north woods to shoot some poor deer or dodging through the jungle trying to draw a bead on a velociraptor? If you've seen the movies, then you know the answer to both questions. |

The changes are evolutionary, not revolutionary. Still, the evolutionary changes are well done, the story is well written, and the game is stunningly beautiful. That should be enough for most. |

The player has towns or castles that can be upgraded to train more potent soldiers, teach better spells and so on. In the previous game, there were only four types of towns, and aside from some variation in spells and creature abilities, they were pretty much interchangeable. This time around, the number of city types is larger, and many have unique benefits, from an escape tunnel (to flee sieges) to training cages to a magic gateway to other cities. |
